Rating my Blog

Today I've discovered Claudiu Florea's blog, and from all his posts, one grabbed me directly by my eyeballs: the one about how can you rate your site with a little script!

Online Rating

Well, according to them, my blog is suitable even for children, not like Claudiu's :P

Fredo and Pid’Jin

Well, if you've seen the this odd-looking character:Fredoas my YM avatar, that's Fredo! Why haven't I chose the "slim" pigeon? That's for you to find out! :P
It's all about the Fredo & Pidjin Comics; two evil pigeons that have one world to destroy!
After reading the first 3 seasons and after missing their 2 Years & 100 Episodes contest I'm happy to see that they already started the 4th season!
Let's what will they think of next! ;))

Test your Speed

My results from speedtest.net

Vadim has introduced me to this nice site. I've been using several sites for benchmarking before, but I found this one to be a really good CHI example.

If you want tot test your Internet connection speed and enjoy a nice and user-friendly interface, Speedtest.net is the site you need to visit! They have servers located all over the world, so you can compare your results with others and easily share them.

An ode to Women

500 years of female portraits in western art are shown in this interesting animation, where the images seem to be brought to life one after another, and even more intriguing, one by the other. True, there is no black women represented there, as someone commented on youtube, but it's really worth taking this travel in the centuries that shows us how different, yet how alike we are, not only in different countries, but even through time.

One interesting thing I found out is "John Berger's observation that women in the past have primarily been portrayed as being seen while women in more recent times are shown doing the seeing."

aPaw: Looking through... a photo a week

This photo is dedicated to Ana! Have a great day tomorrow: the 14th!

A day before the 14th of June 2007...

As of Today, I'll start to post here as much as one photo / week.
A simple set of rules will apply:

  • I'll try to upload photos made during the week in which I'm posting.
  • The posts in this series will have a special title, starting with aPaw.
  • All the photos will be made by me.
  • At least in the beginning, I'll try to keep the photos as unedited as possible. This way I might see in time if I have evolved or not.

Who knows, maybe I'll structure a bit more this little initiative. Time will decide.

flickr PRO account

June 2, 2007: serni purchased a 1 year Pro Account for You

Happy!

No more "200 photos limitation"!

I just feel like taking my camera, going out, and start taking a lot of photos again!

A funny thing, not very easily noticeable, is that for diferent user-classes, even the logo is diferent. If before I only knew it was a gamma version, now I'm also loved. :-))

Iasi, Romania on flickr

For a few days now, I've started to put a bit more effort and time in a group I made some time ago on flickr.com:

Iasi, Romania. Get yours at bighugelabs.com/flickr

It all started while considering a bit more the possibility of going abroad. Maybe it will come in handy in those "home sick" moments, maybe it will help other people in the same situation.

Never been to Iasi before? Well, through these photos you will also be able to get a glimpse of what is Iasi.
