One (more) reason why I like France: Spotify

Unfortunately, Spotify is not (yet) available in Romania, but since I heard good things about it before, I gave it a shot.

The first good impression was from an future-user experience point of view: even if they currently only support Windows and Mac, they are aware that the world is a bigger:

So, after having problems running it under wine 1.0.1, I switched to the beta version - currently 1.1.31 - as easy as writing
sudo apt-get install wine1.2
and everything went smoothly.

Right now, I'm waiting for the world to change, till Spotify will be available in Romania too!

Going to FOSDEM 2010

FOSDEM is probably the most developer-oriented European Free and Open Source conference. It is taking place in Brussels, Belgium on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February 2010. Apart from having many invited speakers, the conference offers developer rooms, stands and lightning talks to projects from the Free and Open Source community.

FOSDEM, here I come!
